Halloween Card For Contest

This  is the card that I am entering in The Paper Shelter #86 Charming contest.  The criteria asks that you use one of their pictures and a charm of some sort.

Of all the charms that I found in my stash, the only one that fit this picture was a cute little kitten.

This card opens up to show the little "I May Have Exaggerated A Bit" colored with Tombo, Tsukineko, and Stampin' Up markers.

The frames were made with the Labels Collection Framelets from Stampin' Up! and the flowers and garland are from the Manon's Wedding Garland by Cheery Lynn, with stamens from the Cheery Lynn Embellishments #1.

The inside stamp is from a discontinued Stampin' Up! set, "Hand Penned Holidays," that was stamped in black ink, then gone over with a "copper star" Gelly Roll Glitter Pen.

Halloween Cards

Halloween is just about here, so when my friend, Nancy, introduced me to the Paper Shelter web site, I fell in love with their line drawings.  Nancy and I got together at her house and the fun began!

I made three cards all using the Paper Shelter's girl, "I may have exaggerated a bit," in different colors.  I used some Copic markers but am just getting into them so I only have six colors so far.  The rest of the colors were from my stash of markers from Tombow, Tsukineko, and Stampin' Up!

Bats were made with a Martha Stewart punch.

So, here are the cards.

I am working on a Hot Pink, White, and Black one at this time so when I get the inside finished I will post it.  I can't decide which one is my favorite....I like them all.

I have some Christmas downloads from the Paper Shelter and I am anxious to begin working with them.  they are so cute!  Be sure to visit their website at thepapershelter.com  All Cheery Lynn Dies can be ordered from atjoan'sgardens.com.

Now if some good fairy would only provide me with a full set of Copic Sketch markers, I would be in artsy fartsy heaven!

Rose Get Well Card

Rose stamp is from the Happiness Shared set from Stampin' Up!
I stamped and antiqued it with Certainly Celery ink and then colored the leaves with a #60 Celadon Fabrico marker, and for the rose, I used a Tombo 761 pink to outline it and filled in with a pink chalk.
Ribbon is Certainly Celery Seambinding from Stampin' Up!

For the inside, I stamped the rose again (after stamping it twice on another piece of paper so that it was fairly light,) in Certainly Celery and Pretty In Pink ink, then put Get Well Soon from the Sincere Salutations set in Certainly Celery ink over the top of it.

Birthday Card For My Husband

Bear & Bird Stamps Are By Judith
Words were made on the computer
Eyes were from a package I got a long time ago so I
don't know who made them or where they came from
String on bear's finger is from Stampin' Up!

Harvest Ribbon

This ribbon was so awesome that I had to use it to make some cards.  This birthday card was made by just using the ribbon wrapped around a piece of rust colored cardstock, then placed on a black frame.  The decorative edge around the Happy Birthday was made by using 2 strips of gold tiny borders that I purchased from Flower Soft.

For the inside, I fussy cut around the leaves on the ribbon and glued then to the card.

I found this ribbon on sale at Michaels and fell in love with it.  The camera doesn't do it justice. For this card, I added a Bitty Blossoms Rose made out of copper metal paper from a Cheery Lynn die that my friend Nancy gave me and backed it with a black flower made from the two flowers on the Manon's Wedding Garland from Cheery Lynn Dies.

I made a card with this format and used fall colors for a Thanksgiving card for my brother's family.  My sister-in-law placed it on her kitchen counter and the papers on the glimmer paper kept falling off.  Every time I went by it I had to stick it back on as the tape just wasn't holding it.  I learned to use Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive to keep things from falling off the glimmer paper.
